The three main iterations Dodge Chargers from the youngest to oldest were an average size (B-body) of (LX and LY) platform size four-door sedans built since 2006, a subcompact (L-body) car from 1983 to 1987, and the 1966-1978 two-door car.
The name was also carried out by a concept car of 1999, which differ substantially from the Charger eventually placed into production for model year 2006. A similar name, the Ramcharger was used for truck-based vehicle.
